Are you an Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation) looking for a new challenge or the next step within large-scale infrastructure and offshore projects? Then this might be the opportunity for you!
Interim assignment / €100 per hour / 32-40 hours per week / Bachelor level / Infrastructure & Offshore / Arnhem + hybrid
For our client, a leading organisation within the energy sector, we are looking for three experienced Document Management Advisors (DMS Migration & Implementation). Within a complex and socially relevant programme, large-scale offshore grid connection projects are being realised. At the same time, a new Document Management System (DMS) and 3D Viewer are being implemented as part of a broader Common Data Environment (CDE) strategy.
The duty station is Arnhem, with a minimum of two days per week on-site (Wednesday is a fixed office day). The assignment starts on April 1st, 2026 and is expected to run until April 1st, 2027.
As a Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation) you play a key role in the implementation of the new DMS within large-scale engineering and construction projects. You operate in an advisory capacity and act as a senior sparring partner for project teams, document managers, contractors and programme stakeholders.
The Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation) translates standards, contractual requirements and SaaS capabilities into practical and scalable document management processes. You guide teams through adoption, ensure compliance and help establish a consistent way of working within a complex and politically sensitive environment.
Your responsibilities include:
Guiding project teams in the implementation and adoption of the new DMS and 3D Viewer;
Advising on document control processes such as correspondence management, technical queries, non-conformities and controlled 3D model reviews;
Supporting the definition and consistent application of metadata, classification standards and document structures;
Preparing and guiding the migration from ThinkProject to a new DMS environment;
Identifying critical documents, data quality risks and migration-related challenges;
Supporting validation and reconciliation of migrated data before and after go-live;
Acting as the business-facing counterpart towards the system integrator and SaaS vendor;
Advising on go-live readiness and supporting hypercare activities;
Capturing lessons learned and contributing to reusable implementation patterns for future rollouts.
The Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation) is not a project manager, but a senior document management expert who understands change dynamics. Internal resistance to new systems may occur, so it is essential that the Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation) is persuasive, politically sensitive and able to clearly communicate the added value of new ways of working.
.
What can you expect?
Interim assignment up to €80 per hour or perm contract up to €6000 per month;
32 to 40 hours per week;
Hybrid working model (minimum 2 days per week in Arnhem);
A key role within a strategic digital transformation programme;
The opportunity to contribute to large-scale energy and infrastructure projects;
Start date: April 1st, 2026 (earlier start possible in consultation).
You will be working on projects that directly contribute to the energy transition while professionalising document management and information governance within complex engineering environments.
What do you bring as a Document Management Advisor (DMS Migration & Implementation)?
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in document management within complex project organisations;
Experience within infrastructure, offshore, construction or other asset-intensive environments;
Proven key role in at least one large-scale DMS system migration (mandatory);
